Spring College Tour 2010
During Metro’s Spring Break, AKM had the pleasure of visiting Atlanta, GA. The students visited colleges such as Morehouse College, Clark-Atlanta University and other Atlanta schools to expose them to college life and learn more about college programs offered. On this trip, AKM met Ambassador Andrew Young and other distinguished community leaders.
Emerald City: A Benefit Fashion Show
Thursday, April 29th, AKM will host its 2nd Annual Fundraiser. This event will be dynamic as local designer Charles Brown of “Charles Lord” designs will feature his Spring 2010 Collection, “Come Into My Garden”. For more info and ticket purchase, click here.
Michael Baisden – One Million Mentor Campaign
Thursday, April 15, 2010, radio personality Michael Baisden will visit Nashville for his One Million Mentor Campaign. CEO, Eric Capehart will be one of the featured panelists for this event. AKM has also entered into the drawing for receiving grant money from this event.
Board of Directors in the Making
AKM Staff is now interviewing candidates to become a part of the Board of Directors for the 2010-2011 fiscal year. Interviews are currently in progress and will be voted upon. Details coming soon to show who has been selected!
