THE VISION

Message from the CEO

So what's All The Kings Men all about? That's the question I am most often asked by parents, agencies and potential donors. It's the question I'm told I should have an elevator speech for. It's the ultimate question that should be perfectly crafted in case the question arises.

My elevator speech is simple, "we work to reduce the unreasonable number of times minority boys come into contact with the juvenile court system."

Over the years we have continually changed our approach to reducing juvenile delinquency; particularly in African American communities. We have always worked with the Global Mindset. We call it "Think Global." Everything we do, we do it for the world to see and duplicate. Reducing delinquency with minority boys, particularly African American boys comes with a host of challenges. With the right mix of caring staff, committed mentors, parental involvement and cultural relatability, we have been successful in reducing the disproportionate minority contact and confinement of African American boys, while increasing the number of caring and accountable young men in our society. Our formula for success is summed up in one word... change. Our written organizational culture says that we understand the need for change and embrace the idea of change. With an ever changing society full of external threats, we must be ready to change our strategy. If we fail to live up to our culture, I believe we will become irrelevant in the fight to reduce DMC.

I hope you will look through our web site and gain a better understanding of DMC and how All The Kings Men helps to mitigate this national issue.

In His Service.
